Charles Peterson, Director of the Egyptian Antiquities Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is found dead inside the elevator of the 70 Pine Street Tower under mysterious and unexplained circumstances. Just hours earlier, he had been overseeing preparations for a major exhibition dedicated to the Egyptian god Seth — the ancient deity of chaos, destruction, and betrayal. Among the artifacts are newly discovered archaeological findings linked to ancient rituals and occult beliefs surrounding Seth’s dark worship. A team of American archaeologists had spent fifteen years studying the god’s metaphysical influence and cultural legacy.
Peterson was a solitary and devoted academic. No family. No close friends. Only colleagues. And they are about to become part of the mystery.
